The National Building Research Organization stated that the identification of the danger zone around the Meethotamulla disaster area, have been completed.
A special team was deployed to assess the situation around the disaster area, which completed its investigation yesterday (18).
A 500m zone around the site of the incident has been marked out as a danger zone, inclusive of the 130 houses found within the danger zone.
A decision is yet to be made regarding whether or not the houses will be temporarily or permanently removed from that area, Ada Derana learns.
