Health scare around Meethotamulla disaster zone

The Ministry of Health stated that the people affected by the Meethotamulla disaster are at risk of experiencing long term ad short term health issues.

The Chairman of the Public Health inspectors Union in Sri Lanka, Upul Rohana stated that the affected are at risk of contracting short term diseases such as diseases of the skin and  diarrhea.

He further added that infections around genitalia, dengue and Leptospirosis (rat fever), are at a highg risk of spreading as well.

Rohana further any farmers growing fresh produce within a five kilometer radius from the disaster site,  should refrain from selling it to the public.
