The central committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will be meeting this week.
Sources from the SLFP confirmed that the central committee would be gathering before the Vesak Poya Day.
Decisions will be taken regarding members of parliament and provincial councils as well as party organizers who did not attend the SLFP May Day rally at Getambe.
Reports reveal that the organizers who failed to attend the May Day rally would most likely be dismissed.
SLFP members participating in a May Day rally of another party are in violation of the party’s constitution. Accordingly, disciplinary action will also be taken against those who took part in other rallies.
SLFP stated that tough decisions will be taken to ensure the future victory of the party and all obstacles will be faced.
