The Health Ministry has decided to go ahead with a program focusing on controlling the spread of dengue, which will take place today (18) and tomorrow (19).
The program was executed in response to the sudden spread of the virus, which had occurred in the past few weeks.
A total of 43,915 patients have been admitted, while 125 individuals have been declared dead.
The districts Kalutara, Gampaha, Colombo, Matara, Batticaloa, Kurunegala, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Jaffna, Kandy and Matale have been recognized as high risk zones.
The program will be carried out with the assistance of the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Defense along with Civil Security forces.
